JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The QA/QC Inspector (Coating) is responsible for ensuring that all coating processes and applications meet the required quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting and testing coatings, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The QA/QC Inspector (Coating) will work closely with production teams to ensure that all coating activities are performed to the highest quality. His is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is fully implemented in an organized and efficient manner as per the standards in the industry.
Requirements:
• Ensure that all coating activities comply with relevant industry standards, such as NACE, SSPC, and ISO.• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams on coating quality issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, including findings, test results, and recommendations.
• Reporting metrics and statistics on quality related issues such as CoPQ and NCR
• Verify that all quality related activities are in accordance with codes and standards.
• Responsible for preparing Quality Plan that supports the project and clients’ requirements on quality assurance and quality control. Ensure that non-conforming project activities including potential nonconformances are identified and resolved through approved quality procedures.
• Provide independent quality control audit of Client vendors/contractors and sub-contractor.
• Ensure all Contractors’ QA/QC control measures and procedures are documented, implemented and auditable and fully comply with all Client and regulatory agency requirements.
• Preparation of Method Statement, Procedures, ITP , MAR, and related Documents with reference to Codes, standards and project specification for coating and Insulation activities.
• Responsible for all field inspections and coordination of inspection activities to ensure the quality level.
• Maintaining the quality assurance records and execution of periodic inspection on job.
• Controlling the activities of QC Inspectors and giving proper instructions to them.
• Ensure that the QC inspection work compliance with project specifications, quality plan, control procedures, inspection procedures and industry standards.
• Facing of internal audits as an auditee, ensuring CA/PA compliance to NC’s
