JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Develop and document test plans, test cases, SQL scripts, and automation scripts based on user requirements, software specifications and UML diagrams.
- Condition data for tests as required.
- Document and execute regression, functional and integration tests.
- Document and track QA tasks and software failures using tools.
- Work with developers and QA team members to resolve outstanding bugs.
- Monitor production and test environments for infrastructure related issues as needed.
- Analyze system log files as needed.
- Participate in production deployments (some after-hours or off-peak hours) to provide QA support.
- Act as the owner/gatekeeper of production software quality as required by the demands of the business.
- Support ongoing work to automate and document QA regression testing.
- Work with the tools, environments, and automation team to set up test environments as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of the Payment Industry – Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Experience with payment scheme oriented certifications.
- Experience with common payment industry oriented tools e.g. VTS, FinSim, MCPS, MAS and so on.
- Knowledge of software testing tools such as Quality Centre to create test strategies/cases and retrieve data from QA environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Strong technical background – Experience with ISO 8583 protocol, HTTP, SOA and SQL.
- Good knowledge of the card payments industry and the international card payment schemes, chip-card (EMV contact and contactless) and mobile payment technology, including NFC contactless and Secure Elements.
- Working knowledge of full transaction cycle (Authorization, Clearing and Settlement, Dispute Management and so on).
- Experience with Linux environments, API experience, Web Services and so on.
- Automated testing systems and experience in testing framework implementations.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
