JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is currently working with a global investment management company who is looking to hire a Quant Developer-Back End to join their global technology team.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing global financial services firm that has a talented technology division. This role sits within the front office, working closely with the trading desk and portfolio managers. The Quant Developer will have multiple responsibilities including API Development, Systems Development (trading), DevOps setup & Infrastructure setup.
The team has a focus on performance optimization, continuous improvement and collaboration. This role will work closely with the portfolio managers to make sure the data is correct for the trading team ensuring they have the information to make decisions in a timely manner.
In addition, this role will be a senior member of the team and will be looked upon to mentor and coach more junior developers.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 6+ years’ experience working as a Backend Developer with a strong focus in Python. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with API Development and an understanding of administration tasks including server setup, deployment and maintenance.
Our client is looking for someone with an understanding a macro trading, financial or related environment. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for this position.
