JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
POSITION OVERVIEW
Review and maintain knowledge of Terms and Conditions of all subcontracts for which he is responsible. Attend kick-off meetings and subsequent progress meetings with subcontractors and produce and distribute minutes of meetings.
Survey and measure work in progress and check subcontractors interim payments applications. Value additional works, site instructions, variations and daywork applications. Negotiate ‘star rates’ with subcontractors where necessary.
Identify and report potential problem areas, particularly those that are likely to give rise to claims. Assist subcontracts administrator in the analysis and resolution of subcontractors claims. Conduct final measure on work executed and prepare and agree final accounts. Assist in close-out of completed claims.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Support to Projects RE
2) Advise on contractual matters
3) Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements
4) Advise on Contractor's resource allocation
5) Audit payments to Contractors
6) Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations
7) Check and record measure of work done
8) Prepare variations and dayworks
9) Monitor contracts final cost estimates
10) Maintain expenditure records
11) Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements with the Department
12) Coordinate and monitor activities of his team
13) Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation
14) Prepare financial statements for monthly report
15) Liaise with department in all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of all
16) Contracts.
17) Full awareness of Contract Documents
REQUIREMENTS
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Engineering Degree (MSc) plus 9 years experience or
Engineering Degree (BSc) plus 12 years experience or
Diploma in Engineering (3 Years) plus 15 years experience
At least 7 years of direct and related experience at applied category
At least 5 years experience in managing process,engineering Contracts contractual matters, value engineering systems, procedure and policies.
Relevant IT skills / computer literate.
Excellent command of English (Communication and writing skills)
Valid UAE Driving License
