JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a British cost and PM consultancy in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Client works on a variety of high end commercial, retail, school and fit out projects in the region.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the client;
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
- Performing risk, value management and cost control;
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
- Allocating work to subcontractors;
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
REQUIREMENTS
Client is looking for a western educated Quantity Surveyor with several years of consultancy experience in the Middle East. Successful candidate has worked on midsize to large building projects including, residential, commercial or fit-out.
