JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Familiar with POMI, FIDIC & AUTO CAD.
• Preparation of B.O.Q. and related tender documents for tender submission.
• Compiling and updating cost forecasts, estimates and cost plans at feasibility, sketch scheme and detailed design stages.
• Attendance at and reporting to design team meetings, pre-contract meetings and site meetings.
• Measurement, abstraction and compilation of quantities.
• Preparation of Tender Documentation, Bills of Quantities, Specifications and other documentation for inviting tenders or for enabling compilation of Target Costs on partnered schemes.
• Negotiation and agreement of Target Costs on partnered schemes. Technical and numerical checking of Tenders.
• Preparation of contracts, monitoring and cost reporting of Contracts.
• Measurement or works on site and re-measurement of provisional quantities.
• Valuation of works and interim payments to Contractors.
• Assessment and valuation of variations.
• Evaluation and agreement of claims.
• Preparation & Submission of Final Accounts for audit.
• Provide, commensurate with the level of experience, Project Management services on construction projects.
• Adhere to Quality Assurance and other office procedures.
• Be involved with and contribute to the Business Development of the Quantity Surveying team.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveying.
• Computer Literate (MS Office Package).
• Pro-active, good communication and interpersonal skills, time management skills, high level of integrity and service oriented.
• Good financial and numeracy management skills.
• Good knowledge of construction.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
