Our newest opportunity is for a talented Quantity Surveyor with excellent Contracts/ Commercial experience to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This critical role will be responsible for representing the firm in its dealings with the contractor on a regular basis, from post contract award throughout the entire course of the construction activities. The successful individual will communicate with the firm's senior cost controllers and senior quantity surveyors regarding the project's status and progress as well as managing the projects in accordance with established KEO procedures.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include ;

- Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts.
- Measuring and assessing client's variations to the construction works and contractor's claims for changes.
- Evaluating contractor's monthly interim payment applications.
- Identifying areas of concern and assesses their potential impact upon the project budget.
- Measuring site works from drawings and on site including AutoCad measurement techniques.
- Assisting in the review of time extensions, delays and penalties.
- Preparing progress valuations in respect of interim monthly and final payments to contractors.
- Assessing, measuring, advising and recommending the cost impact of design changes.
- Preparing Change/Variation Orders and reporting upon cost impacts of such orders on the construction budget.
- Assisting in the reviews, assessments and reports upon contractor's claims
- Preparing project cost and cash flow reports.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

- To be successful in this role we envision that you will bring a minimum of 12 years post-graduate experience of quantity surveying, preferably in the Gulf Region across building projects.
- Partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
