JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The senior quantity surveyor will be responsible to
• Preform cost controls and financial controls as per project contract and procedures.
• Preform cost controls and financial controls as per project contract and procedures
• Evaluate contractor’s monthly interim payment.
• Measure and assess variations to the construction works including additions and omissions.
• Measure and assess contractor’s claims.
• Review and evaluate any changes and assess its cost impact.
• Prepare project cost report.
• Review of the bill of quantities and verify it against the project drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimate for construction works.
• Very good understanding of quantity surveying for civil, architectural and MEP works
• Measure works on site and from drawings as per the standard method of measurement of construction works.
• Review bids from vendors and subcontractors analyse the bids and prepare evaluations of bids
• Assess impact of design changes and of client instructions.
• Evaluate the unit rates for new work items.
• Compile front end documents/volumes (boqs, preambles, schedule 1, coc, particular conditions…etc)
• Receive & manage tender queries tender analysis
• Post tender addendums & award recommendations
Requirements:
• Minimum of 12 years career experience in consultancy or PM• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying.
• Preferably with Chartered status with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
• Have previous UAE/GCC experience.
• Attention to detail and a methodical and organized approach to work.
