Quantity Surveyor

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management and procurement for construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit tender documents, budgets, and cost estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide advice on value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Assess and evaluate project variations, claims, and additional works to determine their impact on project costs.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, measure quantities, and monitor changes to the project scope.
- Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost control and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and cost estimating software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Certification from a recognized professional body such as RICS or equivalent is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
