JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Regional Sales Manager - East Africa

• Develop annual sales plan and budgets for the assigned zone in the East African region.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts / actual sales data to supply chain to maintain optimal inventory level.
• Devise appropriate strategies & initiatives for the achievement of target sales for the east African region.
• Need to be involved in direct sales to farmers/retailers in the entire East African region, especially Uganda/Kenya/Ethiopia/Rwanda.
• Need to develop markets for new & efficient crop nutrition products (water soluble & granular NPKs, liquid & oregano minerals).
• Plan solutions for the farming community, conduct field trials & product demonstrations.
• MIS & Reporting: Ensure completion and review of all MIS / Performance reports for the zone (for example, sales, collections, expenses, the effectiveness of promotion campaigns).
• Compliance: Ensure compliance to statutory & organization policies including safety, health, environment in the zone

Candidate's profile:

• Qualification: MBA, BSC/MSC Chemistry or Microbiologist. Candidate must be from an agricultural background with experience in fertilizer products.
• Should have min experience of 8-10 years in direct sales to farmers/ retailers in the entire East African region, especially that of Uganda/Kenya/Ethiopia/Rwanda.
• Should be well versed with local rules & regulations for running operations/ sales/ collections/ repatriations etc.
• Should be Techno commercial. Should be good in marketing and branding as well.
• Should be able to communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
• Should be good in socializing and networking.
