JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
On behalf a client, an international luxury retail group, we are currently looking for a Store Design Project Manager to join their team for a 6 month contract.
MAIN PURPOSE
Ensure excellence in the design, planning and maintenance of all POS in the Middle East region with the aim to maximize brand exposure/visibility and build brand awareness and equity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Middle East liaison for HQ Store Design & Planning departments to effectively implement and reinforce design, construction & maintenance project standards
• Project management & maintenance for all openings, renovations & relocation, coordinating with all external and internal stakeholders across the region
• Ensure that the quality of execution is as per the Maison guidelines & standards
Architectural Project Management
• Analyze all architectural information with local architects and advise on potential new openings, relocation or renovation projects
• Evaluate project costs and time frames in accordance with the HQ brief & guidelines
• Coordinate activities with local architect and collect all information necessary for HQ Store Design to commence work including site survey package, photos reports, constraints and guidelines
• Define Boutique brief including positioning, architectural characteristics, zoning, merchandising orientation as well as back office and security orientation
• Obtain with assistance from local architects all relevant permits and insurance documents prior to the start of site work
• Ensure that the quality of execution is as per Head Office guidelines
• Coordinate activities between all parties.
• Integrate all internal information regarding IT, logistics, marketing, public relation, wholesale and retail
• Manage all operational processes from coordinating suppliers, ordering fixtures & fittings to minimizing the cost of shipping
• Propose and manage relationship with contractors
• Coordinate with mall managements / landlords on boutique projects
• Travel to all internal and external boutiques to supervise construction projects
• Collaborate on special/corporate design & construction projects: exhibitions, activation etc. with the Regional/HQ Marketing team
POS Updates and Maintenance
• Ensure that the maintenance of the boutiques meets the quality standards required and that they remain operational in terms
of security & sales.
• Manage all construction and maintenance responsibilities and budgets for existing store network: support repair requests &
reinforce material & fixture.
• Train boutique staff on proper boutique fixture & materials use and maintenance.
Budgeting
• Control the budget and flow up on the final cost summary of each project in collaboration with HQ Store Design teams.
• Manage all operational processes from coordinating suppliers, ordering fixtures & fittings to minimizing the cost of shipping.
• Follow up on all asset booking and progress of payment to all suppliers prepared by the local architect.
• Validate all quotations, invoices and payments related to the project prepared by the local architect.
Coordination and Reporting
• Establish strong working relationships with the HQ Store Design teams
• Coordinate activities between all parties: architect concept designers, centralized suppliers, local suppliers, executive
architect, contractors and consultants.
• Integrate all internal information regarding IT, logistics, Marketing & Communications for the entire network.
• Provide up to date information on industry trends and competition to the local & HQ.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
• Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience, in Architecture or Construction strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of retail/wholesale client experience required
• Architectural floor plans and Project Management experience required
• Sketching abilities, site survey and coordination on site experience
• Strong understanding of Budgets & negotiation skills is preferred
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, with experience in AutoCAD, Adobe PhotoShop and Acrobat strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, follow up and problem-solving skills required
• Creative agility, Team player and Service minded
• Ability to travel regionally (including KSA, Kuwait) and internationally
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends, when necessary
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Arabic and /or French are a plus
