Research and Development Manager (Cement)/New Product Development Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

This is a very unique, and exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Research and Development Manager for specialty cement products. As the New Product Development Manager you will be responsible for analysing the market and developing new specialty value added cement products.

Additional responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Driving horizontal and vertical integration of novelty cement products and applications.
- Improving existing product recipes to enhance performance and reduce cost.
- Identifying new applications for cement products.
- Customizing products to meet particular market and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring competitiveness and innovation of the products.
- Maintaining awareness of latest trends in the construction industry, and propose existing new products and application adaptation.

REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates MUST have a proven track record of success working in a similar commercially focused Research and Development role, and you will be asked to outline your achievements.

- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience working in a Research and Development capacity in the cement industry, with a focus on new product development in specialty cement products.
- Strong commercial acumen, and ability to identify market needs and formulate profitable solutions.
