JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The Department of Chemistry, United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Associate to work on a project related to the catalytic partial oxidation of methane. The position requires a Ph.D. or an M.Sc. degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with experience in synthesis, characterization, and activity assessment of heterogeneous catalysts. Priority will be given to applicants with experience in metal-based catalysts for methane conversions, especially partial oxidation of methane.
The candidate will work with Prof. Abbas Khaleel for two years contingent upon the candidate performance after 6 months. The position offers a competitive monthly tax-free salary and a free medical insurance package for the applicant. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.
