Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job:

Mott MacDonald is currently working on TRANSCO Cable projects for New Cable between Mahawi 400/132 kV Grid Station and Capital District 132/22 kV.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

- Looking for a Resident civil engineer with a successful record in the delivery of power cable projects (min 132kV), involving design and construction supervision.
- The candidate will report to the Principal Resident Engineer
- Site management of civil works associated with 132kV power cable project

REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Specification

Essential Candidate Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction supervision (132kV cable project experience essential)
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Very good technical knowledge of civil works specifications/standards, for power cables projects
- Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Previous Project Management Consultant and Middle East experience is highly advantageous
- Fluency in English, both written and oral.
- Being able to assess situations in the context of the full business ecosystem

- A high standard of numerical, technical, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities
- A high standard of report writing skills which require minimal proof-reading and peer review
- A range of report writing and visual and verbal presentation techniques
- Capable of working with a diverse range of technical and commercial staff and their outputs
- Ability to work under pressure and assimilate and convey information against challenging time constraint
