Job Description

As a Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for being vigilant and taking appropriate tactical measures to actively contribute towards revenue generation through effective management of several revenue streams. You will effectively exercise impact, influence, and collaboration with colleagues at all levels in the organization, building strong working relationships that ensure all sections of the business are aligned to support the agreed tactical and strategic approaches and objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor competitor pricing, understand the dynamics of the local market and the demand generators, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Prepare for weekly revenue meetings with reports.
  • Work closely with the Director of Revenue in preparing weekly and monthly reports including forecasts for all revenue streams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Reservations Manager.
  • Using tools provided (Opera, IDeaS, My Information Manager), maintain, update, and share information in the required areas, including market segment analysis and demographics.
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Revenue, coordinate the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Conduct and communicate results and assist with recommendations and observations from Hotelligence and Demanda360 reports.
  • Conduct OTA audits to ensure rate parity throughout our online channels.
  • Champion special projects related to market research and competitor activities.
  • Perform any other duties and tasks as directed by the Director of Revenue that assist and support hotel operations.
  • Create and implement automated reports as needed.
  • On an ongoing basis, control and analyze revenue trends to ensure performance against budget and market trends, implementing corrective measures where necessary to produce positive results.
  • Create a team-working environment promoting morale, commitment, pride, and performance in the reservations department and the hotel.
  • Daily Pickup report updates include managing control room availability, control group blocks, and the availability chart to monitor pricing for 90, 180, and 365 days out.
  • Maintain third-party websites, update GDS via CRS and Opera, and monitor tasks related to IDeaS and upselling programs.
  • Work closely with the Reservations Manager to manage overbooking policies and ensure accurate market segmentation and rate codes for business.
  • Attend weekly revenue and weekly reservations meetings, support budget and forecast meetings, and facilitate monthly Revenue Managers Conference calls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in revenue management or related roles within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in revenue management systems and data analytics tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess the trait of being organized and able to multitask.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving revenue targets and driving profitability.
