JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our dynamic team in the Engineering and Oil & Gas industry in Abu Dhabi. As a Rigger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment and materials on site. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and regulations while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to facilitate the execution of projects on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate rigging equipment for hoisting and moving heavy loads.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and operational plan.
- Attach loads using slings, ropes, and other devices while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
- Inspect rigging equipment before and after use to ensure safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with crane operators, laborers, and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow on job sites.
- Monitor rigging operations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment used for each rigging project.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance personal skills and safety awareness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a rigger in the Oil & Gas or construction industry.- Knowledge of rigging techniques and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Certification in rigging or related field is preferred.
