We are looking for a qualified and experienced safety manager to ensure all health and safety protocols are implemented and maintained on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in site safety practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures on-site
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and standards
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive measures
- Lead incident investigations and prepare reports with corrective actions
- Provide safety training and induction to workers and subcontractors
- Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to resolve safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety records and incidents
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a safety manager on construction sites
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- Ability to work proactively and independently
