Job overview

Arcadia Global School, Dubai is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Secondary Assistant Principal - Academics who can join us from August 2026. The successful candidate will have a leading responsibility for the academic management and performance of the Secondary School, on a strategic and day to day basis.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years teaching experience working within a high-quality department.
  • Minimum of 3 years in SLT leadership experience.
  • Professional leadership qualification (desirable).
  • A strong knowledge of relevant educational frameworks and inspection/accreditations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A natural desire to lead, contribute to and participate in the school's Professional Learning Community.
  • A professional who works collaboratively both within the immediate team and across the wider school community.

Core responsibilities

  • To lead and manage Subject Leads and teaching staff to ensure the highest standards of teaching are maintained, and to oversee the leadership and management of teaching and learning overall.
  • In collaboration with SLT, be able to present a coherent and accurate account of the pastoral and wellbeing student data with appropriate evidence in a form appropriate to a range of audiences. This includes the Principal, Vice Principal, Senior Leadership Team, the Stakeholders and KHDA.
  • To ensure a high-quality curriculum is provided offering students from all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to make progress and have relevant academic pathways.
  • To lead on the monitoring, evaluation and improvement of assessment and feedback across the school.
  • Through leading a professional development programme, promote a culture of self-improvement.
