Job overview
Arcadia Global School, Dubai is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced secondary assistant principal - pastoral who can join us from August 2026. The successful candidate will have a leading responsibility for the pastoral and wellbeing management and performance of the secondary school, on a strategic and day-to-day basis.

Requirements:
- Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years teaching experience working within a high-quality department.
- Minimum of 3 years in SLT leadership experience.
- Professional leadership qualification (desirable).
- A strong knowledge of relevant educational frameworks and inspection/accreditations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A responsive collaborator who develops and builds upon the ideas from the community, creating an environment of innovation.
- A professional who works collaboratively both within the immediate team and across the wider school community.

- Lead by example with high expectations by providing inspiration and motivation.
- Lead and guide the secondary MLT to ensure key responsibilities are met and strong teamwork is paramount to the success of the team and school.
- Lead and manage the positive behaviour of all students in the secondary school with a focus on growth opportunities, in line with school policy and KHDA expectations.
- Plan, review and monitor the wellbeing curriculum, including collaborating with the careers counsellor to ensure appropriate allocation is provided.
- Lead assemblies ensuring high-quality provision is planned and provided.
- Have overall management of secondary school trips to enrich the learning and opportunities for the students.
- Implement and deliver a successful calendar of events, including parent information sessions, coffee mornings and webinars, student house events and student competitions.
