Semi - Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a dynamic and expanding small accounting firm based in the UAE, is actively seeking a meticulous and self-driven Semi-Senior / Bookkeeper to manage the daily financial operations for their clients .

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of diverse clients, serving as the primary point of contact for their accounting needs.
• Prepare statutory accounts for a variety of entities, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Perform detailed reviews of client records, financial data, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and other key accounts.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
• Calculate and prepare corporate tax computations and returns.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, address queries, and provide updates on the progress of their accounts.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency.Requirements:

Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years of accounts prep and VAT experience within the UAE, with a strong emphasis on local UAE VAT regulations
• Min 2-5 years experience of working in a chartered accounting firm
• Part-qualified or fully qualified Chartered Accountant status (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
• A solid understanding of IFRS (a test will be done during the interview process)
• Proficiency in utilizing accounting software e.g., Xero, QuickBooks
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• The capacity to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• A reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.

Salary:
AED 7,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
