JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will be working closely with the finance team coordinating with internal teams for streamlining accounting processes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Handle general accounting functions including account reconciliation and analysis while posting all types of journal entries (expenses, capex, balance sheet, P&L accounts), in multiple “reporting dimensions”.
- Reconcile company’s accounts: debtors, creditors, bank accounts
- Prepare VAT declarations while being responsible for planning & fulfilling company’s tax obligations VAT, FMY, Income Taxation with regards to relevant country operating
- Assist with the monthly close and consolidation process
- Support the accounting function
- Assist with the implementation of accounting policies
- Be responsible for all declaration for towards the Tax Authorities; not just VAT of the relevant country operating
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years’ experience in similar position
- A BSc degree in Finance/ Accounting – ACCA/CIMA.
- Work experience on SAP Business One or similar would be preferred
- Good working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Practical experience in VAT and Tax Laws & Regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in excel,
- Practical knowledge of SOX procedures.
- Hands on, results driven, can-do attitude
