JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our business consultancy team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain financial systems, processes and controls for the business.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts and other financial reports.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure efficient cash management.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Prepare taxation returns and other compliance activities.
• Maintain and update financial documents and records.
• Provide support and advice on financial issues.
• Liaise with auditors and other financial professionals.
• Participate in the development of business strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software and databases.
