Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant of Iranian nationality to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting processes, particularly using the Tally system, and a strong understanding of VAT and Dubai regulations. This role requires proficiency in English and Farsi languages and experience working in the FMCG trading sector.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Utilize the Tally system to record financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and timely filing of VAT returns.
• Stay updated on Dubai regulations relevant to accounting and finance operations.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis as required by management.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and streamline processes.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 6 years experience in accounting roles, preferably in the FMCG trading sector.
• Proficiency in using the Tally accounting software is essential.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Dubai regulations pertaining to accounting and finance.
• Mastery of accounting concepts and analysis of accounting documents.
• Skill in using all accounting software modules.
• Capability of Finalize and close the company accounts.
• Expertise in Preparing and adjusting the reconciliation statements with customers.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Farsi, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with team members.
