JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic construction firm in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our projects and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and recording of transactions.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation and journal entries.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance, providing regular updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and tax requirements specific to the construction industry.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to support financial planning and cost control.
- Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth and accurate audit processes.
- Implement and improve accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements:
* Holds Bachelor Degree and Masters Degrees* Holds Diploma in UAE Corporate Tax Law
* Holds Diploma in UAE VAT Law
* Minimum 10 years experience in UAE
* Fluent in English.
