JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and properly classified. Perform monthly reconciliations and close the books in a timely manner.
• Ensure efficient management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Supervise tracking of clients payments, vendor invoices, and collections, ensuring timely payments and managing outstanding balances.
• Resolving outstanding payments, Monitor and collect accounts receivable by sending collection statements and contacting clients via telephone, email, and visits, and prepare collection reports and progress.
• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
• Preparing VAT Calculations, Corporate Tax Calculations, and Filing VAT returns, including VAT reconciliations
• Lead internal and external audits, and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts
• Ensure all financial practices and records are compliant with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and automation where possible to streamline financial operations.
• Provide regular financial updates and reports to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Requirements:
• Experience in the Insurance Industry is Preferred• Minimum (5) Years Experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional Qualifications (CMA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Knowledge of VAT & Corporate Tax Calculation and Income tax, and Experience in VAT reporting, compliance, and reconciliation
• Excellent Verbal and Written English Communication Skills and Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Practices.
• Excellent Analytical, Negotiation Skills, and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Proactive, Flexible, Ability to Work Independently and Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously
• Strong Data Entry Skills, Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Time Management.
• Proficiency in relevant Accounting Software and Tools
• Having Valid Driving License and Owning a vehicle
• All Nationalities are welcome and preferably Arabic Speaker
Salary:
AED
5,000 to 7,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
