JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Salary: AED 10,000-12,000

Our client who takes pride of place in the competitive raw chemicals industry across the Middle East and CIS, is seeking a Senior Accounts Manager who has learned the practice of accounts through personal growth and 10-12 years experience in accounting functions.

While today you will lead a team of 6 and be responsible for accounting, financial management, reporting and analysis, you will have held broad spectrum roles in accounts such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, expense allocation etc. Your excellent knowledge in these fields and more… will therefore make you an excellent coach and mentor to the team, working with them on delivering to deadlines with accuracy, first time, every time.

Located in Dubai, you will be working with a team of professionals and experts with strong chemical industry experience; who support a diverse range of customers.

In terms of qualifications and systems, you will hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting and may have achieved CA accreditation. Certainly you will need significant ERP experience and familiarity with Focus ERP would be ideal.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Staff Management
- Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of accounting staff(including bank reconciliation, General Ledger reconciliations)
- Conduct regular meeting each week to discuss work responsibilities and issues
- Conduct Quarterly Performance Management Meetings with staff and with Accounts Manager
- Working with Accounts Manager to develop and implement training plans for the extended team
- Assisting to develop and implement work processes

Approvals and Postings
- Monitor and Approve of all bank transactions
- Approve new suppliers entered
- Approve new creation of stock and cost centers and other ledgers
- Approve all expenses transactions posted by the accounts executives
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Open JB related to purchase and assign work to the Accounts Executive Stock to create item and cost center.

Monitoring Books and Adjustments
- Complete all accounts for the up to trial balance.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconcile entries Evaluating costing as required by sales person.
- Maintaining Inventory of the Company.
- Reconciliations of all receivables and payable ledgers and coordinate with the customer and suppliers/service vendors to resolve the discrepancies.
- Completes all monthly closing entries & make proper provisions
- Monitoring of all the expenses related sales & Purchases
- Stock Reconciliations and adjustments
- Reconciliation of each customer account and supplier account.

Inter Company Communication
- Coordinating with all other departments for the necessary information.

Reports
- Make report for analysis of sales and purchases on monthly or annually as demanded by salesperson and management on the absence or instruction of Finance Manager
- Completing Stock Reports and re order level reports
- Preparing weekly report for sales meeting which includes Stock report, Pending Sales orders & Re-order levels of stocks.
- Other reports as required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

- Should have at least 10-12 years of relevant work experience
- Must have Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Knowledge with ERP software, ideally Focus ERP software

A competitive salary will be offered for this role, circa AED10-12k per month negotiable plus medical, annual ticket and 22 working days annual leave. A corporate casual dress-code exists with working hours across Sunday to Thursday.
