KBR is looking for a senior area planning engineer for a PMC project to be based in Yokohama, Japan for a year and back to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
1. Job purpose:
- Manages and oversees scheduling function within project controls functional area for major EPC projects.
- Responsible for project planning and scheduling, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting.
- Participates in establishing operating policies to mitigate risk within ADNOC RLNG project.
- Ensures that work methods are up to date, efficient, and in accordance with ADNOC RLNG HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
- Plans and reports requirements and allocation for manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinates works with other supervisors, contracts, and subcontractors daily to minimize work interferences in the assigned area.
- Plans and coordinates with all concerned for civil concrete and steel structures inspection and maintenance activities as per agreed specifications and objectives.
- Identifies all the assets in ADNOC RLNG, enters and registers all the information related to assets in the SAP system, and maintains and updates the same.
- Coordinates with other departments in respect to rectification work schedules.
- Supports contractors to maintain compliance with the procedures and quality standards.
- Prepares comprehensive reports for ADNOC RLNG area-wise facilities.
- Safeguards own health and safety, as well as that of fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
- Takes action to intervene and stop any unsafe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and reports the incident regardless of position or that of the transgressor.
2. Qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills:
Minimum qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Minimum experience & knowledge & skills:
- 18 years of diverse experience in projects and/or contracts including at least 5 years' experience in planning engineering and at least 10 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or project controls activities, focused on procurement, in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
