JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with 5-7 years of experience, ideally with a background in Financial Services or Oil & Gas industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of data analysis, insights generation, and data-driven decision-making, with experience working at a global consulting firm (Big 5: BCG, Bain, Strategy&, PwC, etc.) being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for business growth and optimization.
• Collaborate with various departments (finance, operations, strategy) to provide data-driven recommendations.
• Design and implement data models, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in the development of predictive models to forecast trends and opportunities in the Financial or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Perform data cleansing, preprocessing, and validation to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
• Work closely with senior management to translate business objectives into measurable outcomes through analytics.
• Provide technical expertise on data storage, data mining, and data visualization techniques.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
• Stay up to date with new data analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5-7 years in data analysis, preferably within Financial Services or Oil & Gas industries.
• Consulting Experience: Prior experience with Big 5 consulting firms (BCG, Bain, Strategy&, PwC, etc.) is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to transform data into actionable business insights.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience with complex data sets in the Financial or Oil & Gas industries.

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
