JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
Minimum of 15 years overall electrical engineering design experience of which at least 5 years should have been gained working in the Middle East.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of HV and LV electrical design principles as applied to water and infrastructure projects including process plant and pumping stations. Experience should include preparation of water and infrastructure designs for municipal, industrial and petrochemical projects utilizing a range of project delivery methods.
Experience of participation in HAZOP and related studies, including hazardous area zoning.
Proficient in the use of engineering software packages covering single line diagrams, load schedules, short circuit analysis, harmonic analysis and electrical equipment selection e.g. motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs and cables.
Thorough knowledge of relevant local and international standards and codes of practice with particular reference to NEMA, NEC, EN and IEC standards.
Understanding of quality and safety aspects of the design development process.
Experience of working on FEED projects will be considered an advantage.

Qualifications:
Candidate should possess an Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university or college and be a member of a related professional institute.
