Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

- Deputising for lead as required.
- Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.
- Executing assigned personal objectives.
- Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of engineering delivery.
- Carry out survey and answer site queries.
- Review and check the work of the design team.
- Ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in the preparation of CTRs and man-hour estimates.
- Attend meetings as and when required.
- Assist procurement and project engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials.

Qualifications

- BSc, BEng or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-14 years' experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering design and analysis.
- Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards.
- Experience in brownfield jobs and FEED jobs.
- Experience in EPC and PMC jobs; worked in a PMC role earlier.
- Experience in vendor package management.
- Experience of the application of HAZOP, HAZID and e-HAZOP to electrical design.
- Experience with electrical design for prefabricated modular packaged equipment.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East or Iraq would be an advantage.
- Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context.
- Familiar with the use of industry standards and codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and communication skills.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player.
- Proficient in the use of ETAP, Navisworks, lighting calculation software (Dialux etc.) and MS Office.
- Able to demonstrate team working skills.
- Flexible with a can-do attitude.
- Able to travel to Basra, Iraq as required.
