JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE:
• To serve as Rotating machinery engineer in Central engineering Division. Provide Engineering Excellences to various
• Projects phases and company assets to insure adherence to international codes, Company Guidelines/Standards and industry Norms & Practices for all ADNOC offshore facilities.
• Provide technical input to the decision-making process for major/strategic decisions affecting the selection and procurement of Rotating Machinery Equipment (Compressors, Gas turbines and Pumps).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Provide technical oversight of the major machinery selection and operations procedures to ensure compliance with integrity standards and business objectives.
• Prepare specifications and selection of various machinery equipment (pumps, turbine, compressors, seals, bearing, couplings etc.) and issue for procurement.
• Conduct technical studies for Rotating Equipment optimization as deemed necessary.
• Prepare Engineering Packages for various Rotating Equipment Retrofits and/or replacements
• Conduct and/or Lead Rotating Machinery investigations of Root Cause Analysis for failures/troubles.
• Support Optimization of exiting Rotating Equipment operations
• Seek, review, and endorse new technologies/advances, maintains awareness of industry practices and trends,
• improvements to existing systems and integration potential
• Support closely the commissioning and start of Rotating Machinery Equipment.
• Participate/Lead the factory acceptance test and conclude the acceptance of Rotating Equipment.
• Technical assessment/verification for the Site Acceptance Test of Rotating Equipment.
• Conduct technical authority audits, peer reviews and recommend on acceptance of vendor/supplier deviations or non-compliance requests to company specifications/standards submitted by the project team.
• Participates as SME in the development & update of Company Technical Standards & Specifications observing latest legislation and technology innovations.
• Build discipline Peer relationships to pool and develop technical expertise, within and external to the company including Contractors/Vendors and sister Companies.
• Participate / Conduct prequalification exercises for Manufacturers, Consultants and Service Providers etc. Provide
• Control systems conformance assurance by support of Inspection / Testing / Upgrade and Commissioning.
• Conduct discipline engineering interviews for pan company recruitment, including Projects support for PMC awards.

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets
• Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
• Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
• Performance Management
• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal
• Communicate with Project, Planning & Cost and other discipline engineers, Divisions and Units Covering all related works & responsibilities highlighted within this job description.
• Communication with other Team Leaders/Managers through team leader.

External
• Contacts consultants/specialists/managing engineering contractors and suppliers on relevant matters.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 8 - 9 years of experience, including at least consultancy, offshore, green field / brown field projects, inspection and commissioning experience.
• Professional Certifications
