Senior Estimation Engineer -Mechanical / Civil / Pipeline / Procurement / Electrical / Instrumentation
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas industry in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of projects, including mechanical, civil, pipeline, procurement, electrical, and instrumentation works. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, cost estimation techniques, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects across mechanical, civil, pipeline, procurement, electrical, and instrumentation sectors.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather relevant information for creating estimates.
• Conduct market research to assess current material and labor costs, ensuring estimates are competitive and realistic.
• Review and analyse bid proposals and contracts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Present and defend estimates to management and clients, providing clear justifications for cost components.
• Continuously update and maintain a database of unit costs and historical data to enhance future estimates.
• Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve estimation processes.
• Mentor and guide junior estimation engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cost estimation in the Oil & Gas sector.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited institution.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost estimation within the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on mechanical, civil, pipeline, procurement, electrical, and instrumentation projects.
• Proven track record of successfully estimating costs for large-scale projects from conception to completion.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and translate them into cost estimates.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
• Proficient in estimation software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Salary:
AED
15,000 to 20,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
