JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team specializing in interior fitout projects for luxury residences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of cost estimation, project management, and design principles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in bidding for high-end residential projects. Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate BOQ, cost estimates for luxury fitout projects, ensuring all components are considered.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and proposals to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to understand scope and refine estimate data.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends affecting estimations.
- Review subcontractor quotes and collaborate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid presentations to the client.
- Maintain and update estimation databases and cost libraries for continual improvement.
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on budgeting and cost management strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.- Minimum of 10 years experience in estimating for interior fitout projects, specifically in luxury residences.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and design principles relevant to high-end interiors.
- Proficient in estimation software and tools; familiarity with AutoCAD is a must.
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges with a commitment to excellence.
