Robert Half is working with an Oil & Gas business recruiting within their Finance function.

The Role

* Supports the Accounting Manager with the preparation of external and internal reporting - annual, monthly and quarterly deliverables by taking ownership of specific parts of the process
* Coordinates the audits of the smaller subsidiaries, including preparation of their financial statements and accompanying schedules.
* Prepares routine accounting calculations from models designed by the Accounting Manager
* Prepares the transfer pricing calculation on a monthly basis for review by the FC
* Supports the implementation and continuously improving internal control measures to reduce/minimize various risks including financial reporting risks.
* Supports the close out of the financial audit of the Group
* Working with the rest of the Finance department to ensure controls are complied with across the Group's accounting functions
* Prepares reconciliations statement to a high standard of accuracy on a timely basis
* Carries out research within relevant materials to recommend next course of action on the accounting of transaction
* Ad-hoc tasks as required by the accounting manager and the finance controller
* Prepares the peer benchmark analysis workings
* Prepares workings supporting the general and administrative costs review
* Keeps reporting manager up to date with status of open items
* Stays organized and maintains control over workstreams
* Maintains the assets (PPE, IA, CWIP) ledger and register by ensuring timely capitalization
* Prepares the inventory reconciliation and maintains the inventory ledger
