Overview:
As a Lead FF&E Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the interior design process, specializing in the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, and equipment to enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of interior spaces. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of designers, collaborating with clients, and ensuring that the FF&E design aligns with project goals and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of FF&E designers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Distribute tasks, set priorities, and ensure the team's adherence to project timelines.

Project Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and integrate FF&E seamlessly into the overall design concept.
• Participate in design charrettes and project meetings to provide valuable insights and expertise.

Client Interaction:
• Work directly with clients to understand their preferences, budget constraints, and overall design goals related to FF&E.
• Present design concepts and product selections to clients, incorporating feedback and ensuring client satisfaction.

Research and Sourcing:
• Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and furniture technologies.
• Conduct research to identify and source furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet quality standards, budgetary constraints, and design objectives.

Specification and Documentation:
• Create detailed FF&E specifications, including materials, finishes, dimensions, and installation requirements.
• Generate comprehensive documentation for procurement and installation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Budget Management:
• Collaborate with the project management team to establish FF&E budgets.
• Monitor and manage expenses related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints.

Vendor and Supplier Relationships:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to secure favorable agreements for the procurement of FF&E.

Quality Control:
• Conduct quality assessments of FF&E selections to ensure they meet design standards and client expectations.
• Address any issues related to product quality or performance in a timely and effective manner.

Installation Oversight:
• Coordinate with contractors and installers to ensure the seamless delivery and installation of FF&E elements.
• Conduct site visits to verify that installations align with design intent.
