JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Build in contractual chain around trading activities, including contracts with inspectors, logistics (freight and storages) etc.
• Participate in complex deal structuring (trade finance lines, potential prepayments etc)
• Deal with potential claims from/to counterparties (prepare necessary pack of documents)
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues related to the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to exploration and production agreements, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements with a focus on minimizing legal risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide expert legal advice on price cap issues; OFAC regulations.
• Assist commercial desk in title and risk issues under contracts with different Incoterms conditions.
• Identify legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate and manage such risks, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualification in law
• Experience at a leading law firm and in-house team specialized in Oil & Gas trading companies.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate law and litigation
• Previous experience working with companies or clients from Petroleum trading companies in the Middle East and Russian market
• Have experience to work in trading companies in challenging environment
• Have legal expertise in corporate law in UAE, English Law and HK
• In-depth knowledge of regulations on licencing in oil trading
• Understanding of various free zones regulations
