JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
This opportunity is with a large Group Company into diversified businesses.
• Assess and improve the business' logistical processes.
• Evaluate the physical flows of goods, information, and finances.
• Management of documents and able to manage the full process of transporting materials from UAE to KSA or other regions within GCC.
• Manage fleet, schedule of trucks, timelines of delivery and full plan of each consignment.
• Create reports based on analyses of performance data to help clients make strategic decisions about operations.
• Recommend improvements in inventory management and control procedures to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Coordinate with other departments within the organization to determine inventory requirements.
• Create and/or enhance monthly KPI supply chain reporting.
• Evaluate alternative approaches, prototype as needed, recommend solutions, create, and maintain architecture documentation.
• Oversee efficiency efforts, including inventory control, transportation planning, product scheduling, and warehouse management.
• Evaluate risks and influences decisions regarding the flow of information and knowledge.
• Assist a company's supply chain in becoming more efficient through reduced costs and increased revenue.
REQUIREMENTS
• At least 8-10 years of experience within logistics.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or similar.
• Proven work experience in logistics planning/scheduling.
• Operational and strategic experience, well-networked with logistic vendors.
• Expertise and knowledge of transportation and logistics systems.
• Ideally, a candidate available immediately.
• This role is a one-year contract extendable.
