JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

The Role
We are currently supporting one of our clients who is looking for a driven self-starter to join a growing team. This is a newly established position, supporting a dynamic and growing client base in the provision of a wide suite of training programs. The Client Operations Manager will act as the permanent coordinator of the contractor and the full-time workforce on the client site, acting to identify, follow-up and resolve issues onsite in a proactive and collaborative manner, as well as providing a vital link between the onsite and back office operations and the overall program planning and coordination offsite.
This role requires the operational coordination and supervision of several highly specialized teams in different domains.
• The Client Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall operational coordination of all the activities performed by several independent contractors onsite, and will report directly to the Project Management Office (PMO) Director.
• He will also work in a straight collaboration with the onsite Client Support Services team and side-by-side with the Client Support Services Manager responsible for all the Support Services onsite.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications
• 10+ years of proven experience in leadership and operational planning/management roles
• 10+ years of personnel management of intermediate to large teams (20 -100+ personnel)
• University degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
• Qualification or proven work experience implementing Systems Approach to Training standards to training curriculum
Skills and Attributes
• Proven track record of managing a multi-national and multi-domain workforce
• Experience in the operational planning and execution of large training programs
• Commissioned military officer OR Executive level equivalent in federal level government agency or department
• Willing to be personally active in identifying and resolving issues
• Excellent risk management, mitigation planning and negotiation skills
• High capacity for multi-tasking, critical thinking and problem solving
• Excellent conflict management and decision-making skills in a fast and dynamic environment
• Willing to work as a team player in a multi-faceted, multi-cultural and multi-language environment
• Detail oriented with a dynamic and collaborative leadership style
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Advanced level of skills using Microsoft Office and Project tools
Desirable Skills
• Arabic language skills
• Formal project management qualifications
• Exposure to intelligence planning
• Exposure to technical operations
