JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Health, Safety & Environment, the Event Safety Officer is responsible and accountable to support the development of an Event Safety Plan and monitor the implementation of the plan. The role holder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring that all operating departments, service delivery providers, organisations, adhere to the Dubai Health & Safety Policy, Procedures and Assurance Standards.
The Senior Event Safety Manager will liaise with HSE teams other relevant authorities and must have at least 5 years experience in major event, preferable in the UAE.
The role holder must be familiar with building codes and international standards for temporary works/ structures, fire safety, applicable legislations including but not limited to: UAE Labor law, UAE Fire Code etc.
The role holder will support the different pre event construction, events, and post event activities and will be expected to work a shift pattern which might includes weekends depending on the requirement
Salary:
AED
20,000 to 22,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of experience in major event safety management and preferably within the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in health and safety or equivalent
• Professional health and safety certifications and/or accreditation from local and internationally recognized health and safety standards organizations
• Familiarity with UAE Fire code, temporary works standard
• Team management skills, presentation skills, risk management skills, project management skills, high attention to detail, communication skills
