JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client a large construction company, is urgently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Dubai.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
• To liaise with consultants, clients and contractors on the progress of Mechanical works
• To supervise and ensure works are in accordance to the contract drawings and specifications
• Lead Mechanical Engineers in preparing method statement, shop drawings, installation / T&C check sheets, work progress report and other relevant documents for Mechanical related works
• Coordinate in preparation of technical submissions.
• Assist the Technical Manager in all Mechanical matters including preparing Mechanical works Master Construction and T&C Schedule.
• Hold technical discussions with various stakeholders to resolve technical / site issues.
• Liaise and work with relevant authorities on shop drawings / equipment submissions, inspections, testing requirements and commissioning.
REQUIREMENTS
• B Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering with minimum first class
• Valid UAE Driving License
• At least 6 – 8 years of experience in the same capacity
• Hands-on experience in the design of commercial and residential buildings.
• Experience in HVAC design and layouts preparing the heat load calculation.
• Hands-on experience in the design of commercial and residential buildings.
• Preparation of BOQ and tender related documents for the projects.
• Review the design concept layouts, tender drawings, BOQ, specifications, etc. related to project received from consultant.
• Should be able to coordinate with the drafting team to enable the design drawings.
• Should be well versed with the mechanical regulations of all the emirates of UAE and of other GCC countries also.
• Should have proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit for enabling the design works
• Good knowledge in MEP services with project site experience in Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, FF) installations.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and detect discrepancies in combined services drawings.
• Possess AutoCAD and drafting experience is an advantage
• Possess experience in defects rectifications, experience in High Rise Building is an advantage.
