JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Mechanical Rotating / Material Handling Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of Mechanical Equipment Specifications and updating the Specifications in line with latest international design codes
- Prepare and check equipment specifications and datasheets
- Preparation of mechanical design documentation for tendering and procurement
- Package management including review and approval of vendor documents
- Defining equipment test requirements and review of test procedures
- Preparation of mechanical design documentation for tendering and procurement
- Package management and review of vendor document review

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institute (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in major oil / gas projects in similar position or lead / principal engineer with engineering contractor / PMC organization
- Fully conversant with international design codes for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and storage tanks
- Proficient in rotating equipment design software for mechanical design
- Experience in Bulk material handling, Stacker / Reclaimer and ship loading
- Experience in defining equipment test requirements and review of test procedures
- Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
- Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English.
- Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
- Willingness to interact directly with people.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints.
