Job description
The Senior Media Planner supports the media department on specific assigned tasks and deals directly with the information sources and media buying team for information flow. The Senior Media Planner plans for most effective media, and recommends the selected media to agency clients.

Duties

- Preparation and Implementation of Media Plan
- Assist the Media Planning Manager in media strategy development.
- Prepare, execute, and monitor media plans for selected clients.
- Prepare the marketing brief presentation of the client.
- Meet with clients, understand the target audiences and recommend which media to use.
- Present media plans and provide plan maintenance including objectives/strategies and updates.
- Prepare reports detailing buying specs and guidelines goals and budgets for use in negotiations.
- Prepare flowcharts and budgets for media plan using Excel, PowerPoint, and planning-specific software.
- Monitor ongoing campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are executed properly and according to client expectations.
- Coordinate with media buyer to negotiate the booking of advertising space with media agencies.
- Develop reports on media schedules of competitors and analyse the data.
- Execute the Media Brief presenting the whole strategy with the expenditure and competitors expenditures.
- Reschedule missed spots/insertions, and with client approval coordinate booking with buyers to book.
- Update Media Profiles.
- Resolve rate discrepancies.
- Campaign Analysis
- Follow up on each campaigns success metrics and suggest adjustments accordingly.
- Assist team in strategic post-campaign analysis and provide recommendations for future initiatives.
- Provide research for and write media Point-Of-Views (POVs).
- Research the impact of campaign in magazines and newspapers, view figures for television programmes and other information regarding media exposure date.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

- The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience on the Agency side.
- Experience working on Blue Chip accounts on the FMCG or Luxury sector is a high plus.
- Experience in leading markets or MENA region required.
