JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

NTS Recruitment are currently working with a leading retail group in Dubai who are seeking a Senior Buyer/Merchandiser.

The role will play a pivotal part in the business and will be heavily involved in the day to day planning, buying and merchandising. It will typically be responsible for product selection & assortment decisions, establishing OTB and Buy plan in coordination with the Buying & Merchandising Manager, establishing pre season sales & margin plans, analysing multiple seasons of historical performance (to establish trends) and partnering with the merchandising & store team to balance inventory and assortment across the stores.

You will be responsible for product selection, setting product pricing (through margin and competitive market research, tracking shipments and communicating over/under bought situations and providing recommendations for resolution. You will also develop range preview materials for the stores and the VM team (for each product/season launch) and create effective product training presentations and materials to help train store staff and operations staff on products.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful, you will be western educated with a minimum of 5 years of retail planning and buying experience in the European or GCC market. Candidates who have experience within footwear or handbags are preferred and specific fashion buying experience is essential. You will be confident, analytical in your approach and have a genuine passion for women's footwear and handbag buying.
