Working with the leader in Construction Management, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in the following responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of efficient planning functions such as Work Breakdown Structure, master schedule review, manpower histograms and cost loading, progress measurement system, and coordination.
- Schedule and progress reviews and providing recommendations for approval and/or comments on the contractors' schedule submissions relying on relevant contract terms and conditions and GHD's best practices.
- Production of project status reports and management of project dashboards.
- Liaise with project management to support teams and monitor performance to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
- Review of time extension claims, forensic analysis of schedules, risk analysis, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
- Review contractors' schedule and progress updates and weekly and monthly progress reports and validate accuracy of progress data in coordination with the site team.
- Record any deviations and/or deficiencies in the progress of works and draft notification letters to contractors highlighting the areas of concern in terms of factors affecting the schedule and progress of the works.
- Lead the development of GHD's weekly and monthly progress reports and progress presentations, taking the lead for all schedule and progress related data and coordinating with the project team to collate other inputs (quality, safety, commercial, etc.).
- Present progress status at meetings.
- Coordinate with site engineers and inspectors who shall verify the contents of the daily progress reports and provide verified data to be reflected on the original contractors' submission of time extension claims.
- Provide input and details on the project program as part of time impact analysis and claims determination.
- Generate tabular and graphic reports for baseline targets, actual earned values, and forecasting.
- Pursue the implementation of technological advancements and digital innovations in the field of planning, monitoring, and record keeping.
About you

- You will be a confident self-starter with natural leadership abilities coupled with exceptional English written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of related work experience.
- Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
- Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various project controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera (certification as a Primavera Planner Professional is required).
- MMUP accreditation and experience of minimum 5 years in the role of planning and project control.
- Competencies in working with PMBOK Revision 5 (PMI registration will be well regarded).
