JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The role will mainly manage the commercial aspects of projects. Specifically supervision will be done to ensure that construction project requirements are completed accordingly and in due time within projected budget.

• Liaise with clients and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
• Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
• Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor and time.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
• Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
• Prepare financial, profit and loss reports.
• Forecast with the related department project cost at completion.
• Validating quantity provided by subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain payments trackers and prepare financial reports.
• Validate the budget for main suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain tracking weekly turnover reports.
• Prepare cost to complete forecast with production/engineering/project manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Quantity Surveying
• Relevant experience in the industry of construction, manufacturing, oil and gas.
• Experience following up on the project commercial status and profitability.
• Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge of current Construction Law.
• Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
• Ability to work independently on own initiative.
