JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level
• Accurate project(s) cash flow reporting
• Accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy
• Re-measure from drawings and site
• Valuing variations with recommendation
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk, value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Ability to challenge resources and costs
• Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to contractors
• Providing advice on contractual claims
• Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
• Valuing/ measuring completed work and arranging payments
• Strong time management and communication skills
• The ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
Requirements:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent• Previous experience with Client experience
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other major forms of contract
• Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying and procurement of contractors,
• Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis
• Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative
• Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
