JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Conduct detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and other relevant expenses.
• Analyze and evaluate project specifications and requirements to determine accurate cost projections.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and guidelines.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and review contractual documents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the financial success of the project.
• Measure and value work done on-site, ensuring accurate and fair payment for services rendered.
• Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications.
• Assess and manage variations to the contract, including changes in scope and design.
• Provide cost impact assessments for proposed changes and negotiate adjustments.
• Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims, working to maintain positive relationships with all parties involved.
• Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution strategies.
• Generate and present financial reports to project stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
• Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and variations.
Requirements:
Education: Masters/Bachelor of Engineering degrees in quantity surveying or other qualification which are accredited by the RICS (Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors)Experience: 10+ years of experience in construction field
Engineering consultancy experience within GCC preferred
Skills:
• Strong technical background in structural design
• Deep knowledge of construction materials and methodologies
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Multitasker and critical thinker with strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other major forms of contract
Salary:
AED
20,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
