Responsibilities:

General Description

• Involved as the role of technical leader of utility-scale solar PV plant (with/without ESS) project development in DBOT, BOT, BOO mode, and/or EPC Contractor selection process which is processed under a competitive bid/negotiation mode.
• The responsibilities include but not limited to establishment of solar PV plant technical concept, preparation of technical proposal, pre-feasibility study and feasibility study, system design etc.

Specific Responsibilities

• Lead, organize and carry out master plan, solar resource assessment, preparation of technical proposal, pre-feasibility study/feasibility study preparation, solar PV system design, system sizing, technical and economic evaluation, solar system simulation, solar PV plant performance evaluation and design report preparation.
• Master plan, Prefeasibility studies, feasibility studies, preliminary and FEED design for commercial & industrial (C&I) solar PV based system and solar pv, BESS (or other type of energy storage, like flywheel) and generator (diesel generator, fossil fired engine generator) hybrid microgrid system regardless of on and or off grid.
• Selection of PV technology to be used, calculation of cable voltage drop, power loss, arc fault current, reactive power etc.
• Study, calculation and sizing and configuration of PV array. Study, calculate and sizing of cables, inverters, power stations, breakers switchgear, capacity bank and other electrical system equipment, auxiliary system, DC & UPS system, lighting, communication, CCTV and security system, grounding system, lightning protection systems, and protection, monitoring and control system.
• Issuance of bill of material, bill of quantity and assist in the request for quotation.
• Development of technical solution and problem-solving in utility-scale, C&I and microgrid.
• Identify key technical risks of the project, and provide solutions or advice for managing these risks.
• Research and tracking on new Standards and Norms, technologies which relevant to solar PV system, and maintain the technical advantages.
• Supervise and guide the draftsman’s work in the development of plot plan, general arrangement, layout, electrical SLD, schematic diagram, and architectural of communication, protection and monitoring and control.
• Development of solar PV system technical specifications for inquiry equipment in development stage and pre-inquiry.
• Check the technical consistency of the project and sort out the technical deviation and technical related cost-impact factors.
• Organize the check and review of technical proposal, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, drawings and technical bid mentioned above, and provide optimization advices or requirements.
• Assist in the establishment of MENA region market development resource database, and pre-qualification of potential vendor/supplier/partner
• Coordinate and manage the interface with the partners/third party consultant and engineering service company which involved in specific project process and supervise the outputs generates from them.
• Assist in establishing technical system for MENA region market development.
• Other assigned relevant work.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
