JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE
Provide cost estimation support during projects cost optimizations studies. Cost Optimization Review studies involve technical evaluation for optimization purpose that eventually results in cost optimization and cost saving. Cost estimation prior and after the session is essential for an efficient study. Key cost items need to be identified prior to the session, while evaluating potential savings on such key cost items during the optimization sessions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Obtain and provides cost estimates for all projects that are due to for Cost Optimization reviews and studies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders from relevant group companies to obtain cost estimates for such projects and ensures its timely availability.
- Provide cost benchmarking data by coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure cost estimates of projects are reasonable and accurate.
- Compile cost estimate data and present them to Project Cost Optimization Studies manager and team prior and during workshops.
- Provides advise and highlight big ticket items that are of potential scope for optimization.
- Provide cost estimates for the proposed savings and thus revised cost estimate of projects after optimization in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Organize cost estimate data, analyse such data for better utilization such as benchmarking and lesson learning.
- Ensure being updated on latest tools, software, and techniques for cost estimation.
- Ensure being updated on latest engineering solutions, software, and technologies.
- Provide reports and presentation.
- Review and provide content in Cost Optimization Review reports, and other reports and publications regarding engineering and cost estimation.

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Function/Division/Department/Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal
- Manager, Project Cost Optimization Studies
- Heads of Disciplines within the division.
- Cost estimation teams in Group Companies
- Other ADNOC divisions in Upstream, Downstream, TEO, etc.

External
- Shareholders, counterparts & members of the ADNOC Group, as required.
- Local and international vendors, contractors and third-party service providers.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline with supporting experience.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 12 years of Experience in IOCs/NOCs or Engineering/EPC(M) companies in the relevant discipline and industry pertaining to Cost Estimation and Engineering.
- Fully conversant with the on-going Technological advancements in Engineering and Cost Estimation data management.
- Leadership, people-management, planning, cost control, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good coaching skills.
- Good command of English.
- Good knowledge of computer applications.
