JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client who is a well-established and highly regarded industry leader within the insurance sector in the Gulf region. They have mandated Gulf Connexions to assist them with their search to identify an experienced Senior Underwriter of Financial Lines to join their highly successful Underwriting team.
Responsibilities:
• Underwriting of new business and renewals.
• Providing quotes to clients in a timely and professional manner,
• Proactively establish and develop relationships with brokers and clients alike.
• Processing of new business, endorsements and renewals.
• Provide mentoring and deliver technical training to junior staff when required.
• Handle various policy administration and management activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• 5 years + Underwriting experience with at least 2 years of Financial Lines experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline is preferential.
• Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer focused work ethic.
• Strong technical underwriting skills with demonstrated financial U/W judgement.
• Have an outstanding eye for detail.
• Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Well-developed people management and leadership skills.
